Big open beach divided by the river Ogmore going down the middle.
This is a really old place indeed, and was originally a resting place for monks from the nearby Jervaulx Abbey.
A lovely expanse of heathland which is great for dogs. This is part of the large network of nature reserves Suffolk and dogs should be on leads during bird nesting times, roughly March to August.
This part of Lincolnshire rivals the Cotswolds for honey stone cottages and a quiet rural pace. It's a fine place for a dog walk.
This is one of my favourite castles on the Welsh/English border. It's perfect for a gentle stroll with the dog, a boisterous game site for travel-weary kids or even a romantic picnic.
A large beach that's favoured by dog walkers and horse riders. It's not a safe swimming beach and that keeps it quiet.
Vast woodland, owned by the City of London but available to all. Maps available online and on-site (boards and leaflets). Some flat walks, some with inclines.
A real magnet of a woodland for dogs and kids with plenty to do and explore for everyone. There is also a dog-friendly pub in the town to relax in after a great walk.
A lovely, easy stroll up a woodland valley with fell views at the far end!
A short and accessible walk to one of the most iconic or Welsh ancient sites.
A walk in the grounds of a former castle, now a well-maintained garden at the top of the hill looking over Lisburn.
