Large country park surrounding a lake. It's a lovely place to take a wander with the woofer. And you can also take in a dog-friendly pub on the walk.
An easy and well-signed route up to a Peel Tower, and down again. A dog-friendly pub is nearby for refreshments, and in a most handsome building.
This was a surprise - we were expecting a pretty lagoon of scenic delight. But the lagoon had almost no water in it, apparently for 'safety concerns'.
Excellent dog walking woodland, and every car in the car park had an enthusiastic dog on board. The pup loved it here and happily dived from woodland to river and around again.

This is a lovely tiny village where it's easy to get onto the Pennine Bridleway for a satisfying yomp with the dog. Expect waterfalls and chatty locals.
