Large long & flat sandy beach where dogs are allowed & accepted readily all year round. During July and August there's a 'dogs on leads' rule between 0900-1700.
Dog-friendly pub in the centre of a Dartmoor village, and with a good dog walk from the door. It seems incredible that this seemingly remote place is so close to the A30.
A peaceful reservoir, with clean and tidy facilities and a fully accessible path along the waterside. It's a handy place to know about if you're on the A30 and the traffic builds up after Okehampton.
Victorian house and formal gardens managed by the National Trust.
Acres of woodland, with a choice of four marked trails. Just the job for dogs who've got bored of sandy paws. On hot days these shaded paths are just what a dog needs.
Dog walking beach that's popular with locals and visitors. It can look gloomy on a rainy day (as in the photos!) but is apparently glorious when the tide's out and the sun shining!
No restrictions on dogs on the sandy beach here.
We're not usually fans of stately homes, but this is in a dog-friendly league of its own and every effort has been made to ensure the comfort of visitors.
17th century pub, steeped in history and perfectly placed for either the beach or a strenuous uphill yomp. The location is wonderful, and fabulous at any time of the year.
Forest walks and bike trails, children's activities and all-round family fun time. popular with local dog owners, and perfect for some 'green' time after the beach.
An expansive parkland in Yeovil. There's so much to see and explore here, from valleys to woodlands to hills looking over the country towards Dorset. Very handy for the A30 and the A37
