Ladye Bay is a very pretty small beach surrounded by cliffs. To get down to the beach you park on the road at the top of the cliff.
Relaxing homely bar area with sofas and a fabulous view over the Severn estuary and Wales. Can get crowded at busy travel times.
An interesting stop, with a good farm shop and the chance to buy some freshly-made cider direct from the brewery.
The pub is deceptive - bigger inside than you'd think from the car park, and it's strong on food too. The walk is an easy one to find, and dogs get a good off-lead run.
Another dog-pleaser of a walk dog starting at the motorway services, but well-hidden from public view. This is a dry, summer walk and gets well muddy after rain.
This can be either a beach walk, or a trail through the adjacent nature reserve.
Country pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere, and an appetite rousing aroma of good food.
The riverside path here is some 2.5m wide with plenty of dog romping space and an abundance of wildlife. This is probably as close as it gets to Wind in the Willows land, a magical walk.
A fabulous wood for a dog walk, with several interesting historic moments to look out for too. Very safe for dogs and kids, and easily walkable from the town if you're staying nearby.
A towpath walk along the pretty and well-tended canalside.
There's a choice of two water walks in this sleepy village, both quiet and tranquil. There are a couple of small shops in the village for picnic supplies, and the Bell is dog-friendly in the bar.
