Old railway dog walk from Biddulph, Staffordshire
No stiles, no hills and no map needed for this dog walk on a reclaimed railway line, once part of the North Staffs branch line. It's a varied and scenic route, and lovely on a quiet day.

Woodland Trust site in a quiet location off the A449 on Whittington Hall Lane.
We love to see life returning to old pubs, and the lively team here have achieved miracles in just a few years.
A traditional canalside dog-friendly pub and an easy walk with the dog on the towpath. I love the way that all the different canals have such a different style of brickwork, bridges and locks.
A quiet and atmospheric woodland walk with a feast of bluebells in spring, and very few people around.
This is a magnificent walk over the lower reach of Cannock Chase. The land is criss-crossed with paths and the heathland means it is easy to navigate this large expanse of open space.
One of our favourite dog walks in the area, with shady woodland and a lake and a background of chattering birds. It's a delight and very soothing.
A dog-friendly pub that's perfectly placed between the start of several great dog walks.
This is a lovely place to mooch with the pooch in a nature reserve within a couple of miles of Junction 12 on the M6.
This is a delightfully rural canal side walk, even though the roar of the traffic on the M6 motorway is never far away.
Very traditional canalside pub, with a friendly welcome for walkers, cyclists, fishermen, dogs and visitors to the area.
