A bit unusual this one. A dog-friendly beach at the end of an airport runway? Yes indeed, but it's not as busy as Heathrow. You may well get the beach to yourself.
Gently shelving shingle and sandy beach with rock pools allowing easy, safe access for dogs that enjoy swimming but are unable to scramble or jump in and out of the water.
A small castle ruin with magnificent views across the water and loads of romantic atmosphere. Active dogs will want more of a walk, or could swim from the beach. This is just a short stop.
A slightly odd mix of old lime kilns and a modern power station here. But dogs will adore the space at low tide and the parking is easy. It's really close to the A1 and easy to find.
The beach is linked with a nature reserve. It is beautiful, perfect for dogs as it has a lot of coastline available. So your dogs can play in the dunes or down at the water.
A very convenient picnic site right on the beach with easy access for motorhomes and caravans.
Mile long sandy and dog-friendly beach set behind houses on breakwater at Marina.
Harbourfront pub where you can get a good meal and take the dog too. Easy access to the beach and coast path for dog walks.
A pawfect place to let the dogs out on the beach for a run and then enjoy a coffee from the shack or a pint from the pub. It's the best place for some Nessie hunting too!
Small picturesque and dog-friendly beach with a reconstructed 'jellybaby' house at one end.
Gairloch spreads itself out along the road and divides into three parts.
