Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

A1 dog-friendly beach near Edinburgh, Scotland

Description

A slightly odd mix of old lime kilns and a modern power station here. But dogs will adore the space at low tide and the parking is easy. It's really close to the A1 and easy to find.

GPS coords for car park: 55.9709, -2.4219 What3Words: ///applied.cabin.cooked  Height bar at 2.1m after the small pull-in, and then a short-ish walk to the sea if you're in a high vehicle. Cars - pass under the height barrier and then bear right to the car park.

Walk

Bit of a strangeness here, maybe because of the Torness nuclear power station nearby. When it's low tide the beach is perfect for ball games, doggie zooming and getting fresh air.
