Close to the M4 Junction 11. Popular park centred on the lakes. There are signed footpaths with walks between 1-3 miles. A favourite with birdwatchers - so best to avoid them!
Excellent combination of a dog-friendly Roman tourist attraction and a small town with shops for snacks.
This is a dog walk that does exactly what it says on the tin: one path that winds through an avenue of rhododendron bushes, there and back. And the dog-friendly pub is a treat.
Relaxing dog walk on a heritage canal trail close to the M1 and the A50 near Nottingham, and beautifully rural for a summer stroll with the mutt.
Well-organised and relaxing country park, ideal for dog walking. It seemed like a very gentle and calm place when we were there.
Handy and dog-friendly pub for a walk by the canal, or just a pleasant place to sit in the beer garden and watch the boats go by. Close to the M42 and the M40.
Less than 4 miles from the motorway, and this part of the Rhymney Valley feels like a different planet.
This is a fabulous dog walk on an ancient track that was once the pre-Roman highway between the Ivinghoe Beacon in Hertfordshire and far away Norfolk.
This small town is just on the edge of the Forêt d'Orient national park, and as its well away from the more obviously touristic town, the atmosphere here feels incredibly laid back and sleepy.
Popular with local dog walkers, this is a walk with everything dogs love. Water, sniffs, and a cool path on the paws.
Definitely worth leaving the autoroute to explore this tiny medieval village, with a couple of very appetising boulangerie / patisserie, a deer park and enticingly dozey atmosphere.
