Former farmland which is now a good park for dog walks. Lots of lakes, ponds and woods to wander around in wide, flat, open spaces and an excellent network of paths.
Gently shelving shingle and sandy beach with rock pools allowing easy, safe access for dogs that enjoy swimming but are unable to scramble or jump in and out of the water.
Emergencies: 24/7, please call 01352 700087.
Dogs are welcome on all of the beach in winter, and for the central beach area there are designated dog areas between May 1st and September 30th. These are signed and easy to find.
A country park is 100 acres of reclaimed land, with waterside and grassy walks and lots of doggy dashing space. The paths within the park are hard-surfaced and accessible.
One of three Dee Valley surgeries in the area. Small animals and farm animal vets.
Lovely space to let the dog go mad for a bit.
Well-stocked pet shop in an industrial unit on the edge of Shepton Mallet. You can find all the main dog foods and a good choice of organic raw treats. Also smallholding feeds and equipment.
Enclosed and gated wood/field.
Thanks to Fullyfed for adding this vet surgery - can anyone add some more info, such as the surgery times?
Pleasant dog walk place if you live locally, otherwise there's an unhelpful lack of facilities.
