Large park area with woodland and river, great for cooling dogs (and owners!) off in hot and sunny weather.
Delightful country inn with a dog-walk from the door. We stopped for lunch and were enormously tempted to stay for much longer and see more of the area!

Lovely relaxing dog walk along the Birmingham and Fazeley canal towpath, with side paths into a nature reserve. The towpath is well-maintained and clean underfoot.
A short with the dog to see the site of the castle where Mary Queen of Scots lost her head. It seems a forlorn grassy lump these days but the castle was significant some 400 years ago.
