Doggiestop between Oswestry and Welshpool, Wales
Pub, restaurant & hotel. Dogs very welcome and a good real pint and food. Last visited July 2015, and by the DwD team in 2021, still as dog friendly as ever and another nice lunch.

A lovely secluded cove, where smugglers used to bring their contraband ashore by night. The village is very quaint - thatched cottages and postcard-ideal scenes galore.
Walk along canal towpath for 5km return by same route

Dogs welcome all year round.
Dog-friendly beach with a view across to Wales. Loads going on here, with the extraordinary natural lagoon used for water sports etc when the tide's out.
Award winning Blue Flag beach.
The Tissington Trail runs for 13 miles between Ashbourne and Parsley Hay, and was once a railway line. Now it's popular with dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
A pretty little beach on the Gower and much quieter than many other beaches in summer. There's a walk to get there, and it's worth checking that you'll be arriving when the tide is out.
A small country park close to the town centre. Plenty of open spaces as well as woodland areas to investigate. Has the Oxford Canal and a river running through it.
