A dog-friendly pub that's steeped in history, since the 16th century, and now gives thoroughly modern service. Coaches would once have stopped here going to and from London.
Prettiest of the several pubs in this large village, and with a dog walk straight from the door. The pub is a delight, and a very relaxed and comfortable space.
Small homely pub where dogs are welcome, and good value meals are on offer. The inside can't be guessed from the outside, especially the parlour with piano and Edwardian sheet music.
Jem loved the dog walk here, along a route called the Milky Way. It's fine Hampshire countryside and pure delight for a doggiestop.
