Very popular with local dog owners, this nature reserve seems to enjoy its own micro-climate. The paths are sandy and easy-going all year round (even in heavy rain when we took the photos).

You start with an unrivalled view of 16 counties, the dog can go nuts on the many paths, and then there's the very lovely Morris and Brown cafe to come back to. Perfect!
Dog-friendly pub in a small Worcestershire village near Birmingham. An attractive nearby woodland will please dogs in need of a paw stretch.
This is a lovely 5 mile / 2 hour walk - ideal for a visit to Broadway as there's plenty to do and see after your walk too. The walk has around 9 stiles, mostly quite easy for dogs to manage.

Sanders Park is a lovely green space within Bromsgrove town. It's a real old-school municipal park, complete with bandstand, ducks and well-tended rose beds.
Absolutely gorgeous place for a sunny day stroll along the River Avon. It's the perfect stress-buster if you've been sitting in the car for too long.
Very laid-back establishment on the banks of the river. Dogs are welcome and the outside seating overlooking the water is fabulous.
A nice mix of lush meadows and woodland, with the river Severn flowing by beyond the grass. On a warm day it's a good spot for a stroll, cool drink and generally potter around.
One of the most dog-friendly A-road services we've found so far. This one is a combined country park with shops, restaurant and a truly dog-friendly cafe.
Deep in rural Worcestershire, this is a good place to take a break from the motorway, or the A38. The pub is welcoming and unpretentious, and the dog walk is fabulous in dry weather.
The woodland walk here will delight the dogs, and it's a pity the pub is only open for lunch at weekends.
