A quick poll of our local dog walkers had a rural cottage near the sea in first place, closely followed in second place by a deserted beach and a country pub with camping space just a short walk away.

Well, it wasn’t a very scientific survey! But I’m sure that many dog owners agree that while you don’t want to plan your hols around the dog, it is a lot more relaxing to go somewhere where you know that Fido isn’t going to upset anyone with the odd enthusiastic Woof – or cause a diplomatic incident by drying off with a good shake n’ roll near a bunch of dog-shy toddlers.
