Dog walking groups are a great way to find new places to walk with your dog, and meet other dog walkers too.
Explore by Paw dog walking groups in Warwickshire are an ideal way to get out into the countryside, see new places and give your dog the pawfect walkies. There's no better way of helping your dog to stay fit than a good walk.
As well as giving your dog a really good walk, you'll be able to explore some of Warwickshire's hidden countryside and, if you don't like walking through fields of inquisitive cows (who does?), there really is safety in numbers!
The Explore by Paw dog walks are guided, so you don't have to worry about the route*, and the dog walks are specially created for the group so that stiles, walking on the road and livestock are avoided wherever possible. All the walks are based on the Driving with Dogs website, and the group is led by Lezli - author of the RAC's 'Walking the Dog' book - with Jem, the Driving with Dogs' collie. The dog walks usually finish at a dog-friendly pub, where treats often await the dogs!
To join Explore by Paw, go to http://www.meetup.com/Explore-by-Paw-Warwickshire or google 'Explore by Paw' and you'll reach the Meetup page to join the group. There's a small annual membership charge.
It's easy to get to the dog walk start-points by car from: Coventry, Nuneaton, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Balsall Common and Warwick; Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden, Alcester, Bidford-on-Avon and Solihull.
New members with dogs aged 12 months and over are very welcome; walks go ahead come rain or shine!
*Members may be asked to co-lead a group.
