Roecliffe River Walk and dog-friendly pub, North Yorkshire

Some pub opening times and dog rules are still changing. Please check your chosen pub is able to welcome you before making plans.

Dogs will enjoy the mix of fields and river path on this very rural footpath. It can get very sploshy in wet weather - be warned! Food and warmth on hand at the pub after the walk to make it worthwhile

Really enjoyed this stop off. Close to motorway and easy to find. Roecliffe is a delightful village and the pub was charming- dog friendly with excellent food and helpful staff.

Although it was a there and back walk it was beautiful: lovely countryside and the river for the dog to splash in.

This was a fabulous walk. The village is beautiful. Had a picnic on the bench by the church and then walked 4 fields and back. No mud in sight and Lily had a wonderful time in the river in field 3. THANK you for bringing us here. Great break from a long journey on Easter Monday
