We came here on a wet, windy day after a morning where just about everything went wrong. So I was totally charmed by the welcome here. The dogs were fussed, we were placed in the warm bar and no-one complained about the aroma of wet dog and wet walkers. The day suddenly felt better!  Under 4 miles from the A1, close to Leeds and perfect for a pitstop off the A1, a lazy Sunday lunch and walk, or meeting up with friends.
