In the heart of the Dordogne valley, this small town has a great combination of good places to eat, charming old buildings and an excellent dog walk too.

It's not over-crowded at any time of the year and is ideal for a motorway break. If you're planning an overnight stop there's good dog-friendly accommodation (hotels, and good municipal campervan facilities and camping).

Local specialities on sale here include truffles and foie-gras, and nut-based oil and delicious plum brandy.
