This is a great walk for dogs and drivers, despite the sad memorial for some forty hop-pickers who were drowned in the 1850s when their wooden cart overturned and they were flung into the fast-flowing Medway. More cheerfully, the country pub is bright and airy and welcomes dogs and kids. In the summer their garden is really popular.
