This quaint small town with its celebrated gothic-style cathedral, elegant Flanders town houses and thriving market is an ideal place for a first (or last) night in France.
And for travellers with dogs on board, it couldn't be more perfect. Right in the centre of the town is a dog-friendly hotel with secure parking, and within walking distance there's a very large park where doggies from either side of the channel get a chance to meet and play.
