Description
We're not usually fans of stately homes, but this is in a dog-friendly league of its own and every effort has been made to ensure the comfort of visitors. I loved the instructions to take off my shoes and run on the grass!
The gardens are fabulous. Even if you just stop for a driving break you'll leave refreshed and revigorated.

Planning a trip and just noticed that entry to the grounds is £10 each - no wonder the parking is free. Haven't been and am starting to doubt if I will.
I dithered about the entry charge too - but after a delicious cream tea and a peaceful snooze under a large and friendly tree I decided to add this option to the A30. Other walkies are available :-)
