Unpretentious and friendly pub where you can get coffee, sandwiches or cooked lunches and it's got a brilliant dog walk on the doorstep.
Parking at the rear, through an archway. Some space in the front for a campervan. Beer garden.
Turn left from the pub and walk on the lane as far as a bridleway sign, just before a bungalow and farm. Turn left onto this grassy track and keep going in the same direction for about 20 minutes (at an average pace, with time to look around). When you reach a very clear track, turn right and upwards. At the next track crossroads, not far away, turn right and this will bring you back onto the bridleway again. Turn left and return to the village. This walk is just under 2 miles / 45 minutes or so. It's easy to make it short by turning round at your own halfway point.
