Easy to find village inn that's not too far from the A35, and no distance from the coast either if your dog needs a change from the beach. They serve a very fine breakfast - the absolute works, and it's a family and dog-friendly pub.
Car park entrance is off the A358. Small Caravan/Moho site in the village at Millands Farm- very handy location for the beach and countryside. Level pitches, EHU - CC site.

Yes. Disabled parking spot on the right of the building, separate from the main car park.
Walk along The Street as far as a T-junction and then walk ahead onto Church Lane. It's signed for the church and Musbury Castle. Ignore a footpath on the right, and keep going on the no through road to the church at the end. Bear right of the church towards farm buildings, and take the footpath for the East Devon Way and Musbury Castle. After just over half-a-mile the path forks, with the East Devon Way on the right and the Castle off to the left. We took the left fork towards the castle. It's earthworks not a romantic Norman ruin, but you still get the view and kids and dogs always like a good bit of earthworks! Nice place for a picnic on a sunny day. Turn round and return the same way. From the pub to the earthworks and back is exactly two miles / 35 minutes walking.
