Services

Walk

Walk along The Street as far as a T-junction and then walk ahead onto Church Lane. It's signed for the church and Musbury Castle.  Ignore a footpath on the right, and keep going on the no through road to the church at the end.  Bear right of the church towards farm buildings, and take the footpath for the East Devon Way and Musbury Castle.  After just over half-a-mile the path forks, with the East Devon Way on the right and the Castle off to the left. We took the left fork towards the castle. It's earthworks not a romantic Norman ruin, but you still get the view and kids and dogs always like a good bit of earthworks! Nice place for a picnic on a sunny day.  Turn round and return the same way. From the pub to the earthworks and back is exactly two miles / 35 minutes walking.
