A420 dog-friendly inn near Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Description

A good and handy doggie pitstop on the A420, with plenty of parking.

It's a shame that this country inn seems to have been shunted to one side by the main road. It was probably an important coaching inn in its day. Definitely worth seeking out.

Walk

Jem was grateful for the cooling grass of the overspill carpark on our visit. This is car-free during the week and nice for dogs.

There should have been a public footpath/bridleway right by the pub, but we just couldn't find it. If anyone can help with locating the start of this elusive track please add an update and get some well-deserved Treat points.
