This is a lovely pub for enjoying the view over the village green and duck pond on a warm Sunday afternoon. It just stacks up those magic moments! Inside is good too, I really like the nod to the heritage headstocks beyond the pond.

This is what Jem loves to see on a pub website: "Our quarry tiled bar with its open coal fire welcomes drinkers and walkers alike, and their dogs are always welcome."
As the headstocks clue suggests, Baxterley was once surrounded by coalfields. This means there are no public footpaths from the pub - which is such a shame. The village green has a decent bit of green space where dogs can romp a bit.
