This locals' pub has bags of character, and is clearly the social centre of the village. 'Authentic' some would say! Very Marmite, dogs and children welcome.
From the pub, turn left down the lane past timber-framed houses typical of the area. Turn left at a public footpath marker post with a yellow painted top. This green lane leads down to a church (St Giles) with a large churchyard. I think it's fascinating to look at the names on the gravestones and try and imagine who they were. Remember to pick up the poo here. When you're ready, turn around and stroll back to the Dog.
