A5 north of Coventry dog-friendly pub and dog walk, Warwickshire
Description
Marvellous dog-friendly pub and well worth making a detour for. Jem loves it here because they have carpet, and he can get really comfortable for a snooze. Expect good food and cheerful service - this is a hidden gem.
Details
Two small car parks with disabled bays in the one behind the pub - with direct access to inside. There isn't room for motorhomes. Some on-street parking nearby.

Walk
From the pub, walk up the slope and then cross over the main road. Walk ahead (The Square) and follow the quiet residential street around to the right. It now becomes Wolds Lane. Keep ahead, and the road becomes a track, and then a footpath. There's very little chance of livestock here and dogs can happily sniff off-lead. Turn around when you're ready and return to the Blue Pig.
This is a linear walk - not because we didn't try the other footpaths, we did. The one going off to the right and over a massive field is blessed with particularly sticky mud. It coated my wellies and made walking a total misery. Jem was filthy by the time we gave up too.
