We had the beach to ourselves when we walked there in the early evening so Dog had the run of the place. Especially as you walk to the north, away from the town. The views are magnificent in both directions and the light entrancing.
It's possible to cross the golf course (carefully and respectfully of course!) and follow the storyboarded history trail as well into and around Dornoch.

This must be one of the best beaches in the world! Miles of sand and, when the weather is kind, gentle waves for dogs to play in. There is a car park near the beach and a children's playground too. Or you can walk from the town of Dornoch.

Fantastic beach with long Sandy stretch
Fabulous beach for doggies. Miles of Sandy beach wide and beautiful. There is a car park too and a stall selling burgers and coffee etc. Also has nice clean toilets near the car park. And a lovely little play park for small children. Highly recommend!
