Ardvreck Castle ruins walk and swimming, Scotland

Premium

Description

A popular place to take a break as you can see the castle long before you reach the car park. The castle is thought to have been built around 1590 by the Clan MacLeod. Just a pointy section of tower is left now and it's a great spot for a picnic. Dogs are fine to go everywhere, but at busy times it's best to keep them on a lead.  Wild swimming for people and dogs is perfect in hot weather.
