Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Bacton Wood dog walk, Norfolk

These woods have been here since Anglo Saxon times and are a tranquil place to get away from it all. Dogs will love it.

Free parking, information boards. Facilities in North Walsham.

This large area of woodland has so many paths that everyone will be spoilt for choice. There are three waymarked trails to follow, between 1.3 and 2.5 miles long. And more paths for exploring too.

The woods are quite hilly in places and the paths become progressively wild away from the car park. The shortest (yellow) walk has the best conditioned paths.

Beautiful spacious woods

Today it’s crazy hot so we took our four dogs to these woods. They are enormous, and there are many, many paths to follow. No amenities, free parking. Needed google maps on our phone to find the car !
