Forest path with a great view of Loch Etive from the hill. Plenty of space for dogs to chase around, and a bit of history as well - this trail follows the way of a former 'coffin route' towards Ardchattan Priory.
Free parking, with space for a small campervan or two - the entrance to the car park specifies 'light' vehicles.
Just before/after the turn to the forest there's a C&C site, it seems to be inside the remains of a very large walled garden, and you can access the forest trails directly from the rear of the site without walking on the road. The Caledonian Way also runs past the site. (Segways). Shop and WCs here.
A there-and-back dog walk on a very easy to follow forest track. The markers for the route are blue posts.
The track is shared with cyclists, and if you have bikes as well as a dog this is ideal. The cycle route is circular, and longer than the 2.5 mile signed walk. If the dog's up for it, why not go for the circular bike route?
