Benderloch dog walk near Oban, Scotland

Description

If your legs are in need of a good uphill stretch, this is the walk for you.  The views from the top on a clear day make it all worthwhile, especially over the Lynn of Lorn to Mull.

Walk

There are two waymarked routes through the forest.

The route with red marker posts is a one mile circular through woodland, and on a clear day you should be able to see Mull and the Morven hills.

To clamber up to the top of Beinn Lora, follow the blue markers and expect rough path surfaces at times. There's a detour to the Eagle's Eyrie viewpoint (turn left shortly after the waterfall) which is a good compromise if you don't feel like puffing to the very top.

Walking boots are a good idea.
