Shingle beach that's great for a good off lead run. Good facilities and nice walk along sea wall into Weymouth.

Walk
Warning: if you're planning to walk along the cliff path, check with local signs first. A large 'crack' in the clifftop appeared in March 2013 and some sections of path are now out of bounds. Otherwise, it's a hilltop grassy running spot just before the holiday resort and funfair.

Shingle not sand
We went in May 2019. The beach is now shingle instead of sand which is fine if you don’t mind shingle. It is also now a family complex with a small kids funfair coffee bar and even a gin bar. Plenty of parking which was reasonably priced.
