We saw on the map that Bungay had a castle. So, expecting a ruin surrounded by parkland for Jem's dog walk we decided to take a bit of a town break here and hoped for a dog-friendly place for lunch too.
The Castle itself is dog walk lite, and we think you can see most of the unimpressive castle itself very nicely from the side. Otherwise there's an entry charge to go in, through the Jesters Cafe. We thought this was a bit cheeky and headed for the dog-friendly Fleece Inn instead.
P&D car park in the middle of the one-way system. The Fleece has its own large car park behind the pub.

St Mary's Street, Bungay, NR35 1AX
Open 7 days. Lunch served daily from 12 noon. For seasonal opening hours and food service times please check their website.
Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome in the bar, lounge and snug at the Fleece. Dog treats available.
Not really much for dogs here, but there is a green space outside the perimeter fencing of the castle. You can reach this by going down the path to the left of Jesters. You'll also find an information board.

Dog walks in Bungay
I am sorry that you didn't find anywhere to walk your dog in Bungay- I have attached a link to 3 circular walks of varying lengths that all finish at a dog friendly cafe. I hope that if you visit Bungay again you will find this useful
