Castle ruins dog walk, Scotland

Description

Who loves a brooding, romantic castle ruin? This is the place to take a break and enjoy a short stroll with the dog across the marshes to a 15th century crumbling fortress. Expect to see Highland Cattle at rather close quarters too.

Walk

Take the path from the car park to the ruins of the 15th century castle.  It's an on-lead walk for dogs because of the sheep and cattle on the marshes. There's a small area before the entrance gate and under the railway bridge where dogs can swim in the river.
