Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Edited: 23rd October 2020

Coast path and a dog-friendly beach, Devon

A pretty and popular village with a dog-friendly pebble beach that is a definite part of the community that surrounds it. There's quite an incline, and swimmers get into deep water very quickly - so not ideal for small non-swimming kids.

There are pubs, WCs, shops in the village, and beach cafes in season. Dogs need to be on leads in the village, Jubilee Gardens, and on the beach.   Dogs are welcome all year on the beach east of the slip way and on the west beach from 1 October to the end of 30 April each year.  Cliff Top car park is P&D.

Park in the Cliff Top car park for easy access to the path.  (If you're walking up from the beach take the path at the car park exit, on the left). Exit from the sea side of the car park and follow the clear signage onto the path, behind a caravan park.  Head south on the coast path, towards Beer Head and eventually to Branscombe.
