A fine, flat waterside area with wonderful views over the Colne and Blackwater estuaries. Lovely for a dog walk.
WC+disabled, refreshments at weekends and school holidays, information room
P&D car park: £2 per day, tax exempt vehicles: free, season tickets available
This is a wonderful place for coastal walks. It's a great stomp along the old seawall with a couple of wartime pill-boxes to investigate as well as a Tudor fort. There are grassy areas and crumbling cliffs at the back of the beach, but be careful of some low-lying marshland.
