A bit of a leg stretcher out of the Darran Valley to the Beacon hill and around a bit. Well off the popular walking trails, you may be surprised by ancient tombs mixed in with farms, reclaimed quarries and an outstanding view from the beacon.  If the long walk doesn't appeal, there are plenty of paths to explore in this untamed country park, which once made an appearance in an episode of Doctor Who.
