A rather comfortable country inn within a 15 minute walk of the coast path, and several National Trust attractions too. Altogether very pleasant! Fod served throughout the day in the summer, from noon.
1.5 mile circular walk / 1 hour plus looking time. From the front door of the Masons Arms turn left, and then turn right and take the immediate right fork, a no-through-road. Reach a pathway T-junction in a couple of minutes and turn left. Keep heading towards the beach and you'll reach the South West coast path. Turn right onto this well-signed route and then take the first signed path on the right to get to a National Trust attraction, Manor Mill. Turn right on the path after the mill and this brings you back to your start point. Turn left to get back to the village. Branscombe Beach is not dog-friendly by the way.
