Bear left onto South Street and walk on the raised pavement and keep going until you suddenly see the vale open up in front of you, just before allotments, and a signed public footpath to the right. Turn right here and walk for a couple of minutes to a path crossroads. Turn left here and then walk straight ahead on this path until you reach the Ridgeway after just over a mile. Turn left and enjoy the view from the high ground. Pass a significant turn to the right and then take the next left turn to Segsbury Hill Fort.
