Dog-friendly pub with history near Carlisle, Cumbria

Premium

Some pub opening times and dog rules are still changing. Please check your chosen pub is able to welcome you before making plans.

Description

The dog-friendly pub here is defended by Edward 1st who died of a ghastly tummy upset while trying to invade Scotland. As kingly demises go, it's not very glorious. The statue is a handy landmark for the car park entrance.
