Great food, an outstanding view, and a very unique building with a full-on dog walk from the door. Oh yes, and awash with history. Quite an extraordinary place, and around 4 miles from the M40 junction 12.

Nice view, nice lunch
We struggled to find a pub open on Monday but this did the trick. Nice food & very friendly towards Sydney the dachshund. The walk is as described- through the staff car park. Wooded path and a steep field down - and up - made for a good stop with glorious view on a sunny November day
