Dog walk near Kinlochewe, Scotland

The views of Loch Maree are still lovely, and dogs can have a fine time hurtling through the open spaces on the paths.

Many of the massive old trees that made this forest special have been felled - some by storms a few years ago, and others by the Forestry Commission to prevent even more damage.

Loch Maree is a lovely location, good picnic area, beautiful clear water and walks from the car park. But watch out for the midges!!! They can be a real problem during the summer months but the answer is to apply Avon's Skin So Soft. The dogs get bothered by midges too so treat them as well. But this is one of our favourite locations for stopping with the dogs.
