Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Dog walks near Newton Stewart, Scotland

A fabulous dog walk through woodland and around a scenic loch. There's history too, as this is where Robert the Bruce and 300 men gave an English army (of 1,500 men) a comprehensive thrashing with a clever ambush that plunged many of the English soldiers in the the waters of the lake. A short detour off the walk will take you to Bruce's Stone - a big granite boulder that commemorates the battle.
