A satisfying dog walk that's free from sheep and stiles. A definite advantage when the surrounding fells are home to thousands of sheep. So dogs can happily run off-lead and it's a safe space. This is a working forest so you may find logging in progress from time to time.

Great stop off
Plenty of parking and lovely woodland to walk in. No other cars or people when we stopped at 0750. Lots of pheasants, deer etc so need good recall/longline/a dog with no chasing instinct!
