Menu Style

With pork and lamb from Amersham and game from around Marlow, we really care about the provenance of our food. Classics and twists abound on the menu; this is the kind of food you'd wish your mother had made. Old English faves rescued from their graves and brought to life with skill and imagination. For full menu information, allergens, specials, prices and reservations please check their website.

Walk

Turn right from the Black Horse car park and then turn right immediately after a church. The path runs to the side of a brook and you'll spot a green metal footpath sign at the start. For a quick doggie legstretch we walked across three fields and turned around after half-a-mile, just before the path starts to go around private houses, and returnd the same way. Not massively interesting but Jem was quite happy. On a wet day, you could take the next right turning from the pub, Alderbourne Lane. As soon as you've walked past a school this becomes a single track and little used lane and it's a kinder option to your footwear if the fields are muddy. Jem was off-lead here and we didn't meet any traffic.

If this is local to you, then you could make a good long walk by staying on the footpath and carrying on into Black Country Park.
