Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Glen Creran dog walk, Scotland

Description

A dogs' delight of a walk, with plenty of path options and a real sense of the wild. Don't forget the picnic (and walking boots).

GPS coords for car park: 56.5904, -5.2000 What3Words: ///warm.standard.assess  Free parking, and that's it!

Walk

The marked trail here (purple posts) is a short 1.5 mile route that takes in a gorge, and a Millennium Bridge across it. The interpretation boards in the car park are worth a read - and explain some fascinating background to the 'Kidnapped' story. I didn't know that the 'Red Fox' was a real person, who lived more or less here, good stuff!

If you're kitted out for it (boots/map/food - the lot) the long distance Clansman Trail starts from the car park here (white markers) and that's definitely one we want to come back to next visit.
