A short, easy access riverside walk on an old railway line with no stiles.
Shops, pubs and facilities in the town.
Pavements and shop entrances aren't easy access as there are lots of steps and the pavements are narrow.
Tourist Information Office, open from 13th February - Easter: 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm seven days a week. Telephone: 01497 820144. The office is next to the main car park.
To reach the path, start from Hay bridge and head down to the riverside, staying on the town side of the water.
Follow the river upstream to reach a local beauty spot called 'The Warren'. On a fine day this is a grand picnic place. The path does continue, and then you have to turn round to return the same way.
There are no stiles, and the kissing gates can be opened with radar keys to let mobility scooters through. There is the possibility of sheep once you're off the old railway and onto meadows.
