Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Edited: 16th November 2018

Highgate Common Country Park dog walk, Staffordshire

Highgate Common is a popular dog-walking place, and with 8 car parks giving access to different parts of the common you should find a good place for your dog.

8 P&D car parks in all

Camp Hill car park is accessed by a bumpy track and is the least well used. Dog bins.

Car park by Cory Community Centre has WCs open 0700 to 1600 (approx) closed on Sundays. Benches, picnic tables, and nature boards. Popular with familes, and with less space for dogs to run.

Pool car park. Most dogwalkers use this one, and you can easily walk to the WCs from here.

Disabled WCs also closed Sundays

From the Pool car park there are two signed trails, the Red Trail is the longer. You don't need to follow a route though, this is open heathland and easy to see where you're going. There are plenty of paths, and loads of happy dogs.
