A tree filled 70 acre park at the beginning of the A1. Once inside the trees, there's almost no trace of the surrounding traffic and there are plenty of tweeting birds instead.   The park was once part of the ancient Forest of Middlesex.

Details

WCs + disabled, refreshments near the information centre by the sports ground. There are disabled parking spaces in the centre of the park near the info centre. And on-street parking otherwise.

The wood opens at 7.30am every day of the year and closes at sunset, from 4.30pm in winter to 9.45pm in summer.

Trails leaflets can be picked up at the information centre.
